The Virgin Islands Charter Yacht League (VICL) is a non-profit organization focused on
promoting the crewed yacht business in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
VICL is governed by an eight-member, elected, volunteer Board of Governors.
The 2010 - 2011 VICL Board Members:
Erik, originally from Kansas City, was a professional chef followed by a food service territory sales
manager with Alliant Foods. He made the Virgin Islands his home in 1998, taking over the reigns
as General Manager of Quality Food Corporation until it was sold in 2007.
A Water Island resident, Erik is a member of the W.I. Search and Rescue, W.I. Civic Association,
Navy League, St. Thomas / St. John Chamber of Commerce, Rotary St. Thomas as well as a Red
Cross volunteer. Erik also serves as the current President of the Texas Society of the Virgin
Islands, host to one of the largest and most popular fund-raising events of the year and serves
on the Board of Directors of the Virgin Islands Hotel and Tourism Association.
Erik also hosts the popular radio program, “On The Water” which is heard every Wednesday from
3-4 PM and every Saturday from 8-9 AM on Radio One 1000am or on-line at www.amg.vi (WVWI).
